Montana's Growth Through Agriculture program recently announced the recipients of a total of 286,086 dollars worth of grants and loans.

Program manager Angie Nelson says the program "helps promote value added projects that help businesses to create jobs in Montana."

Interview with Montana Growth Through Agriculture Program Program Manager Angie Nelson:

Some of this year's winners include a meat processing plant in Dell, Montana, an organic artisan pasta company in Whitefish, and a microbrewery in Butte that uses only Montana grown grains.

The Growth Through Agriculture program is funded through the Montana State legislature and will be analyzed again during the 2013 legislative section.
