BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Montana Highway Patrol authorities say a 22-year-old Superior woman died in a crash near Glendive, but a 5-month old infant survived.
Update: As of 11:30 explosive teams have confirmed that a "suspicious package" found at the Superior Post Office is not a bomb, however a description of the discovered item will not be released.
After autopsies performed in Missoula, The Montana Department of Criminal Investigations has concluded that the two dead bodies found in a rural home in Superior were the result of a murder-suicide.
Tuesday was a good day for firefighters battling the West Mullan Fire near Superior. Fire Information Officer Pat McKelvey said late Tuesday that the fire is now about 60% contained.
Late Friday, fire officials, along with the Mineral County Sheriff's Department, lifted the mandatory evacuations around Superior where the West Mullan fire has now reached over 5,000 acres, but is now 30% contained.
