Missoula got so much snow on Monday, that Missoula County Public Schools declared a snow day today. Missoula officially got 8.6 inches on Monday.

Snow emergency declared in the Bitterroot Valley with more than a foot of new snow falling throughout the area. Lone Rock Schools will be closed today.

Montana Highway Patriol Trooper Nick Navarro advises drivers that is they are involved in a slide-off incident, to stay in their vehicle until help arrives.

Slight chance of more light snow in western Montana today, with highs in the mid teens, however wind chills will register at nearly -20.
