Missoula Police have a man in custody who reportedly tried to stab two people, late Wednesday, October 21.  Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains

"About 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the report of a disturbance in the 500 block of North Higgins," Welsh said. "Once there, they were directed toward a male walking eastbound from that location that was eventually identified as 45-year-old Patrick Ramirez."

Welsh says that there were no injuries from an assault involving an unusual weapon.

"Apparently there was some dispute over money and an ID card and then Mr. Ramirez was said to have attempted to stab two people with scissors," Welsh said. "There were no injuries as a result and Mr. Ramirez was taken into custody without incident."

Ramirez was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon.
