Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On February 16, 2025, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to the area of Mount Avenue and Clark Street for a driving while under the influence call. A complainant reported a white Chevrolet truck was driving the wrong way on the street. They said they had to swerve to avoid the Chevrolet. The complainant then turned around and followed the vehicle with flashers on to Mount Avenue and Clark Street.

The officer arrived on Clark Street and observed a vehicle with its hazard lights on. The driver was the complainant. The complainant reported the Chevrolet just went around the parking loop. The officer drove the loop and observed the Chevrolet come back appearing to try and go around the complainant’s vehicle. The complainant pulled his truck forward, blocking the Chevrolet’s path.

The Chevrolet stopped. The officer approached the Chevrolet and identified the driver as 66-year-old Mark Rademan. Rademan rolled down his window and the officer immediately noted a very strong odor of alcohol emitting from inside his truck. Rademan advised he was lost and had trouble seeing at night. Rademan slurred his words and his eyes were bloodshot, red, and watery.

The officer asked Rademan for his driver’s license, but Rademan said he didn’t have one. Rademan told the officer that he was at a restaurant and had three beers. Then another officer took over the DUI investigation.

The officer had Rademan exit his vehicle to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Rademan could not track the officer’s finger during the HGN test. Due to medical and physical issues, Rademan declined the Walk and Turn and One Leg Stand tests. The officer did not observe HGN/VGN.

Rademan was read the Preliminary Alcohol Screening Advisory and he consented, but was unable to breathe enough into the instrument to complete the test. Then the officer arrested Rademan for DUI.

Rademan was read the Implied Consent Advisory and consented to a blood draw. He was transported to St. Patrick’s Hospital and a blood draw took place before he was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility.

The officer looked up Rademan’s driver’s history and discovered that his driver’s license was suspended. The officer also noticed that Rademan had three prior DUI convictions. Rademan is currently being charged with felony criminal endangerment, felony DUI, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
