The old-school Heaven and Hell Halloween party in Missoula from the early 2000s is looking for a comeback. If you’re familiar with Missoula from back in the day, you probably have some memories of the legendary Heaven & Hell Halloween Party held at the Elks Lodge.

Well, apparently that Halloween party monster grew up. Made a side quest to Billings and then became a giant monster. And now he’s moving back to Missoula.

From Missoula to Billings and Back Again

In 2007, Ryan Bradshaw and Bradshaw Media launched Heaven & Hell Parties in Missoula. Eventually, the parties were successful enough that they moved to Billings (in 2015) and were renamed Purgatory Halloween.

According to organizers, Purgatory evolved into one of Montana’s largest Halloween celebrations. It draws between 2,500 and 3,500 attendees each year at Metra Park. Now, after leaving Missoula well over a decade ago, Bradshaw Media is bringing their monster back home to Missoula.

Missoula.WICKED Takes Over the Missoula Fairgrounds

On October 31st, 2026, Halloween Night, WICKED Halloween: Madhouse Masquerade will take place at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. Organizers say that Bradshaw Media is partnering with Madhouse Cannabis to create what promises to be a truly enormous Halloween celebration. And this isn’t going to be just another costume party with a Bluetooth speaker or a bowl of fun-sized Snickers.

WICKED plans to feature multiple DJs, live performances, Last Best Cabaret, Burlesque Shows, massive sound systems, large-scale visual effects, an exclusive VIP area, plus many other elements, all tied together under the theme of “Madhouse Masquerade.”

Halloween Returns to Missoula

I really enjoy seeing events like WICKED return to Missoula. It’s particularly nice to see such an event come full circle because this Halloween party originated in Missoula almost 20 years ago as the first Heaven & Hell parties. A lot has certainly changed since those early days. But overall, it has grown exponentially. Now, Missoula gets to see how Now Missoula gets to see what that monster has become.
