Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 4, 2025, at approximately 12:46 AM, a Missoula Police Department officer observed a 2017 Ford Escape that was not equipped with working taillamps. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found the vehicle was registered to the female passenger. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Sean Jensen.

The officer spoke with Jensen and noticed he had a nervous demeanor, fidgety mannerisms, glazed and glossy eyes, and a pale appearance. The officer determined that Jensen had an outstanding warrant through Municipal Court and that he was on probation. The officer further found that Jensen’s driver’s license had expired and that the vehicle Jensen was driving was not insured.

The officer asked Jensen to exit the vehicle and noted a strong odor of marijuana. Jensen produced two glass marijuana pipes and a plastic container of marijuana buds from a dispensary. The officer noted the packaging seal was broken and there was burned residue within the bowls of the pipes.

Jensen Admits to Smoking

According to court documents, Jensen admitted to smoking marijuana approximately 2-4 hours prior. The officer then asked Jensen to participate in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The officer observed 5/18 indicators of impairment. The officer then read Jensen the PAST Advisory. Jensen agreed to provide a breath test, which registered .000 BAC. Jensen was placed under arrest.

During a search incident to arrest, the officer located a Louis Vuitton coin purse in Jensen’s jeans pockets. Jensen consented to the officer opening the purse, which revealed a metallic marijuana circular grinder as well as a battery-operated cannabis dabs vaporizer.

Then the officer located a small, clear plastic ziplock bag within the change pocket of Jensen’s jeans. Within the bag, the officer observed a white crystal powder substance, which appeared consistent with methamphetamine. The substance was later tested using the TruNarc, which provided a presumptive positive for methamphetamine.

Jensen’s blood was drawn at St. Patrick Hospital.

Then Jensen was transported to the Missoula County Detention Center. He is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, DUI first offense, driving without a valid driver’s license, operating without liability insurance, and unlawful possession of marijuana, products, or paraphernalia in a motor vehicle on a highway.
