Missoula Man Faces Felony DUI After Parking Lot Incident
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 2, 2025, a Missoula Police Department officer was dispatched to a report of two disorderly males in the Boone and Crocket parking lot who were honking their horns and saying vulgar things to people passing by. When the officer arrived on scene, she located a vehicle matching the location and description of the reported vehicle. The vehicle was running and playing loud music.
The officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the male in the driver's seat, later identified as 38-year-old William Henderson. The officer observed Henderson had bloodshot, watery eyes, and slowed speech. When Henderson exited the vehicle, he appeared wobbly on his feet. The officer could also smell a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Henderson.
When the officer advised Henderson that she wanted him to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he refused and stated he just wanted “to do a breathalyzer.” The officer handcuffed Henderson and seated him on the front bumper of her patrol vehicle. The officer then walked back over to Henderson’s vehicle and photographed three open alcoholic beverages, one in the center cupholder and two on the passenger seat floorboard.

Henderson Provides a Breath Sample
The officer returned to Henderson and read him the PAST advisory, and he consented to a preliminary breath test. Henderson provided a breath sample, which resulted in a .253 BrAC, which is over three times the legal limit. The officer then placed Henderson in the back of her patrol vehicle and read him the Implied Consent Advisory. Henderson refused further testing.
The officer then applied for and received a search warrant for Henderson’s blood, a sample of which was subsequently drawn at St. Patrick Hospital. Henderson was then transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility. According to court documents, Henderson has three prior DUI convictions in Great Falls.
