Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is looking for volunteers to fill positions on the Region 2 Citizen Advisory Committee. Program Manager Vivica Crowser explains what these meetings consist of within the committee.

"We discuss a variety of Fish, Wildlife & Parks related topics," Crowser said. "It's a great way for folks to relate to us, what they are hearing and what the priorities are in the places they live, and for us to talk about current topics with Fish, Wildlife & Parks."

Crowser says this Committee is designed to provide input on diverse issues from wildlife and fisheries management to access, state parks, out door recreation and law enforcement.

"We have some sub committees right now on our advisory committee that are working on topics such as access, education and outreach," Crowser said. "There is always opportunity depending on what the advisers interests are to develop new work groups within the committee as well, and then we always have a variety of topics that come from Fish, Wildlife and Parks at a regional level and statewide."

Committee members are required to attend four to six evening meetings a year in Missoula. Anyone with an interest in the outdoors can apply by emailing Crowser at vcrowser@mt.gov by July 24th.
