Attempted Kidnapping

46 year-old Terrence Roberts was sentenced by District Judge Leslie Halligan on Thursday afternoon to 15 years in the Montana State Prison for the attempted kidnapping of a then-16 year-old Missoula girl, as well as for resisting arrest.

46 year-old transient Terrance Roberts was convicted on Friday morning of felony attempted kidnapping and obstruction of justice by a jury before District Court Judge Leslie Halligan.

Terrance Roberts, the man who several weeks ago allegedly attempted to kidnap a Missoula teenager from Caras Park, appeared in Missoula District Court on Wednesday before Judge Leslie Halligan for a bail reduction hearing.

Man charged with attempted kidnapping at Caras Park held on $100,000 bail. He has a criminal history that is 13 pages long.

Missoula Police Officers responded to Caras Park for a report of a Native American male in a red shirt who was “shooting up heroin and harassing people passing by.”

Mineral County Authorities have apprehended a man accused of a kidnapping attempt in Missoula.
