“Unplug and Play!” Challenges families to turn off all recreational screens for an entire week, and reap the many benefits.  The event kickes off on Sunday April 17th and runs until the 24th . The program encourages Missoula kids and their families to get outside, spend more time at unstructured play and re-connect with friends and neighbors. Screen time can cut into family time and research shows a direct correlation between excessive screen time and obesity in both adults and children. Senior Community Health Specialist Mary McCourt says going outside, and getting away  from screens, is an important part of good child development.
