A resolution that prohibits camping and structures on missoula county property was passed wednesday on a majority vote by the county commissioners. Man Gets 40 Years For Running Over Twin
A Missoula man who ran over his twin brother with a van has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. District Judge John Larson sentenced Alberto Guillen on Thursday, saying he's "never had a case where someone's ran over their own brother and left him to die." Guillen pleaded guilty in November to attempted mitigated deliberate homicide and failing to stop at the scene of an accident in which someone was hurt.
2 Injured In Ski Lift Accident Recovering
Two teenage snowboarders who were injured when the double chair they were on fell off a lift at Red Lodge Mountain ski resort in southern Montana have been released from the hospital.
Dillon Woman Makes Court Appearance In Shooting
A 43-year-old Dillon woman charged with shooting her husband in the neck with a rifle made an initial appearance in Justice Court. Beaverhead County Justice of the Peace Candy Hoerning advised Nichole Curr on Thursday that she is charged with attempted deliberate homicide after her husband was shot with a .22-caliber rifle on Dec. 26.
Lady Griz Win First Game in Holiday Classic
The Lady Griz shot 45.9 % and scored a season-high number of points in a 79-64 win over Southern Mississippi on the opening night of the Lady Griz Holiday Classic at Missoula. Montana (6-6) hit eight of its 20 three point attemts.
