Seeking 2011 Montana Neighbor Award Nominations

Every year an informal coalition of Montana- based organizations sends out the call for nominations for the “Montana Neighbor Award”. This award recognizes a landowner who is an outstanding neighbor. In 2010 the group recognized four leading ranching and farming families across Montana for their cooperation, land stewardship/conservation ethic, and community leadership. Director of Artemis Common Ground  Brian Kahn describes what type of neighbor they are looking for.

Winners will receive specially printed and framed Montana Neighbor Award certificates signed by the members of the awards committee and by Governor Brian Schweitzer. Nominations must be received by June 15. Nomination forms are available at  www.montanagoodneighbors.org.
