NBC Montana is reporting that Missoula police have found a knife that may have been used in a stabbing Monday. They will not know for sure if it is the one until it goes through testing at the crime lab.

One lane is closed on Stephens Avenue in Missoula as law enforcement officials look for evidence.

Detective Sergeant, Jim Klawitter said they are looking for a knife used in an attack at a grocery store parking lot Monday. They are using metal detectors and shovels to comb the area.

Officials said they believe they have found what they are looking for and have narrowed there search to an area close to Franklin Street and Stephens.

Two suspects are in jail in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Post Falls police Sgt. Kirk Rosenau confirmed to NBC Montana Scott Price and Sarah McKnight are believed to be wanted in connection with the stabbing in Missoula.

There was also a suspicious death at hotel the same day.

Neither McNight nor Price has been charged with any offense related to the Missoula stabbing and homicide.
