Northern Montana Oil Opposes Funding Proposal

The Northern Montana Oil and Gas Association opposes a school funding proposal that would take oil & gas revenue from oil producing counties and distribute the revenue statewide. The association’s lobbyist, Pat Montalban of cut bank, says each respective

county should retain the taxes for their respective schools.

The proposal started in the governor’s budget.
