MPD Arrest Two Men for Robbery, Two Other Suspects are Still at Large
At around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Missoula Police Department officers spoke with a victim in the 2200 block of Brooks street and later arrested Chance Martin and Sundance Hill. According to Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, both suspects are 19-years-old.
“The victim reported that he had been with acquaintances,” Welsh said. “One of whom, he later learned, had been upset with him because he had heard he had been making fun of his appearance. The victim related that he was accosted with a firearm, that he was struck with the firearm, and that his belongings were taken.”
Welsh says Martin and Hill were not the only individuals involved in this incident.
“There were actually four males involved, including Martin and Hill,” Welsh said. “Two of which remain at large, but they have been identified. Officers are currently in the process of completing this investigation. Martin and Hill were both transported to the Missoula County Jail after they were located at a known residence.”
The victim was examined by EMS at the scene, but he was not transported to the hospital. Martin and Hill are both facing felony robbery charges. Martin is also being held for felony probation violation.
