A Billings judge has sentenced a man to 75 years in prison for raping three underage girls repeatedly over five years.

Friday's sentence by District Judge Mary Jane McCalla Knisely leaves 44-year-old Danial Allen Bryan eligible for parole after 25 years.

Deputy Yellowstone County Attorney Mary Leffers Barry says Bryan's abuse of the girls happened several times a week between 2008 and 2013.

The Billings Gazette reports one of the victims went to police in August 2013.

A victim told police detective Denise Baum that Bryan called her "selfish" when she protested being raped.

Bryan apologized to two victims in the courtroom and said he didn't understand why it happened.

He asked the judge for "mercy," saying he wants to show that he isn't a "monster" anymore.
