We are under a month until the Missoula Marathon/Half Marathon day (June 30). I am running the Half Marathon and let me tell you it's going to be a struggle. I chose a bad time to plan vacations and concerts where I've been drinking more alcohol and eating more unhealthy foods than I should while training for a half-marathon.

Whatever, I'm proud of myself for attempting to run the Half Marathon with the conditioning of a 28-year-old with a dad bod.

In all honesty, I like to run. It's therapeutic. Part of the therapy stems from unfocusing on anything but the road in front of me and the music blaring in my head. The music is a big part of focusing on the race. I can't listen to podcasts or classical music to gear up to run. It will put me to sleep. My choice of music is upbeat pop or some banging rock. It needs to be fast-paced, high-energy beats. This list is put together with the utmost care because when I'm running those 13.1 miles I need to keep the energy and motivation high. Or else I'll just roll over to sleep halfway through.

Here's the list I put together so far. Send me some of your suggestions in our mobile app.
