Hamilton Players Have ‘Triple Threat’ Halloween Events
Starting October 20, the Hamilton Players community theater group is set up for three Halloween activities this year. The "Halloween Spooktacular" adult costume party is Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Hamilton City Hall (the Bedford Building) on South Second Street. Not appropriate for children, the party includes a costume contest, no-host beer and wine bar, a photo booth from Red Curtain and music by DJ Tracy Womack. Tickets are $15 at the door and a major sponsor is HigherGround Brewing Company.
The weekend before Halloween, October 25-27, the Hamilton Playhouse at 100 Ricketts Road will be transformed into a spooky maze-like haunted house and as executive director denise rose says, "The veil thins and restless spirits come out to play!" A $5 admission will be charged between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. It is not recommended for children! The day before Halloween, October 30, will be the Hamilton Players annual "Grave Readings" at 7 p.m. Free admission to the readers theater presentation of spooky tales on stage at the Playhouse. There will be a bake sale in the lobby that evening to raise money for the Players. By the way, thanks to all who attended the Daly Mansion Murder Mystery evenings earlier this month. Again, the event sold out in minutes and the evenings were filled with good food, mystery and lots of laughs. The event is a fundraiser for both the Daly Mansion and Hamilton Players.
