Now that we’re in October, it’s finally time to start thinking about pumpkin carvings. Wait... is it still too soon to be thinking about that? Maybe you think so, but not me and my family. We look forward to this season every year.

Since 2005, we have taken pumpkin carving to a whole new level and now it has become one of our favorite things to do. We are no experts by any means, but people always seem to be impressed by our finished products, especially in recent years.

When we first started, we were all over the map with our design choices, but now we try to focus on a specific theme. We’ve done Harry Potter, Star Wars, Toy Story, and the Wizard of Oz, just to name a few.

Now it is time to think about what we should do this year. We’ve done a lot of kid-friendly designs in the past, but now might be the time to step it up a bit. There are some really good options for classic villains like Michael Myers, Pennywise, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Ghost Face, and Chucky. It might take a little convincing on my part, but I think I can get it done.

Some of you are probably wondering how in the heck we’re able to carve these detailed designs into these pumpkins. I’ll reveal our secrets with step-by-step help in a future article. Just know, it's easier said than done and takes quite a bit of practice, especially for some of the more challenging ones.

Anyway, here are pretty much all the carvings we have done in the past 19 years. Let me know in the comments what you think and share some of the carvings you have done that you’re most proud of.
