Personnel from the Missoula County Fire Protection Agency will conduct training involving a simulated wild land fire tomorrow at  approximately 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the fire simulation is to train and test the inter-agency response and communication systems to be fully prepared for the 2011 fire season. The simulated fire will be in the 6 mile area near Frenchtown. The simulation will be a table top exercise and will use real radios. Fire Prevention Coordinator for the DNRC Cindy Super says they try and make it as realistic as possible.

Super says this fire season has been predicted to be average and will most likely be delayed due to the weather.
