A farewell ceremony honoring the men and women of the 823rd Movement Control Unit of the U.S. Army Reserves will take place at 11 a.m. at the Army National Guard Armory on Labor Day Monday, September 5 at 9383 Running W Road in Missoula.  The short program will take place in the new armory multi-purpose room and is open to the public.  This unit tracks all things that move whether it be human or mechanical movement within their area of operation while overseas.

The 823rd will leave for Afghanistan on Tuesday, September 6 from Missoula International Airport.  Well-wishers are encouraged to come with American flags starting at 5 a.m.  This send-off is open to the public.
