Drivers Walk Away from Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 93

Two men were able to walk away from a two-vehicle accident on Monday, November 25 near the intersection of Highway 93 South and Blue Mountain Road.

Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Ken Breidenbach said the driver of a Subaru pulled out in front of a Ford pickup truck, and misjudged the distance needed to get onto the highway successfully.

"It was right at the intersection of Highway 93 South and Transolution Lane," Breidenbach said. "The driver of a Subaru hatchback was trying to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 93 South and misjudged the speed of the oncoming southbound truck and clipped it, causing it to roll over into the northbound lane."

Breidenbach said the injuries to the driver of the truck were minor, and both individuals were able to walk away from the accident.

"There were minor injuries for the truck driver," Breidenbach said. "Thank God everybody was wearing a seat belt. He signed off on any medical attention, and everybody was able to walk away from the scene. Traffic was tied up on Highway 93 South for about 45 minutes before the wrecker was able to get the truck off to the side of the road."

Breidenbach said the driver of the Subaru was cited for failure to yield to through traffic, and said under the circumstances, as long as no one was injured, it was the best possible outcome to the accident.
