COVID-19 Update: Montana Adds 113 New Cases, Two More Deaths

As of Thursday morning, Montana has confirmed 273,904 positive COVID-19 cases. Montana's COVID-19 case tracking map shows 113 new confirmed cases. There are currently 557 active cases in the state.

According to the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services, 1,453,627 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered and 563,154 Montanans are fully immunized.

In Missoula, 201,542 doses have been administered and 77,026 people are fully immunized. 66% of Missoula's eligible population are fully vaccinated, which remains tied for the most in the state. You can find the current case numbers from the Missoula City-County Health Department right here.

According to state statistics, 269,991 Montana residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 18 people are currently hospitalized.

The number of tests increased by 2,093 over the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new cumulative state-wide total of 2,773,221.

The state COVID-19 related death toll increased from 3,354 on Wednesday to 3,356 on Thursday, according to state health officials. 94 additional deaths have been reported in the past four days. According to Montana DPHHS Public Information Officer Jon Ebelt, the number of deaths reported this week are largely due to data reconciliation. He said they go back over many months and some are even from last year.
