Congressman Rehberg Appointed New Chair

There is a new chairman of the house appropriations sub- committee on labor, health and human services, education and related agencies. Congressman Rehberg earned the gavel on Friday, he says he feels a responsibility to cut government spending.

 Last year congressman Rehberg offered an amendment to trim 13 billion dollars from the sub-committee budget in response to growing concerns about ballooning deficits, it failed on party line vote.
