A Chouteau County Commissioner has announced that he is running for governor. Jim O'Hara formally launched his bid thursday. He says he's traveled the state and heard from the people, and he believes he would be a good fit for the job.

O'Hara says the number one priority will be job creation. He says that energy development will play a key role in spurring Montana’s economy. He says work with wind energy and bio-fuels could be a boost. He also says that manufacturing could play a role in getting more jobs into the state.

O'Hara says he is running as a republican.
