A Man Was Caught With Heroin at the Missoula County Jail
Just after 11 on Tuesday night, Missoula Police officers were called to the report of a male sleeping on the sidewalk. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says officers drove to the 2300 block of South Higgins.
“When they arrived, they identified 57-year-old Richard Harthun and determined that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of municipal court,” Welsh said. “Harthun was place under arrest and was transported to the Missoula County Jail where he was found to be in possession of a substance that was later determined to be heroin.”
As a result, Harthun was charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. According to Welsh, Harthun also faces a misdemeanor theft charge.
