“Yellowstone’s winter season starts on Saturday, December 15,” Veress said. “The roads will open at 8 a.m., except there is going to be a delayed opening between the north entrance and Swan Lake Flats for snow mobiles. The road from the north entrance of the park to the northeast entrance out to Cooke City, that is open year round to automobile traffic. All other roads in the park, there is limited access to commercially guided snow mobile tours, snow coaches.”
