Woman Continues to Threaten Missoula Police Officers
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 31, 2023, a Missoula Police Department officer stopped a vehicle for not having a front license plate and for speeding on Upper Miller Creek Road. The vehicle was registered to and driven by a male who is a known partner of 24-year-old Kayce Zachariasen. The officer also knew that Zachariasen had warrants out for her arrest.
Zachariasen was sitting in the back passenger side seat and would not respond to the officer’s attempts to speak to her. There were also two children in the vehicle. Zachariasen was digging around in bags around her and would not stop or exit the vehicle. The officer opened the door and removed Zachariasen from the vehicle. Zachariasen was placed under arrest and taken to the officer’s patrol vehicle.
While the officer was in her vehicle completing paperwork, Zachariasen started making threats to the officer which continued all the way to the detention center. According to court documents, Zachariasen told the officer, “I’ll be out in two months or less and you should probably watch your back around then.”
Zachariasen also threatened the officer’s children. Court documents indicate Zachariasen said, “Either way I’m getting you back. You don’t f**k with people’s kids b***h. It’s not a threat it’s a promise mother f****r…Sorry I have to traumatize you kids but you did it to mine so.”
While being transported, Zachariasen said she was going to break her thumb to get out of the handcuffs and she also started spitting at the safety glass in the vehicle.
At the jail, Zachariasen said, “God I want to spit in your face, you're lucky I have self-control today because I'm not drunk. If I was, maybe I would stab that f*****g blonde b***h." She was presumably still referring to the officer.
On May 21, 2023, Zachariasen was arrested after she threatened to kill officers and their families. In that incident, she was charged with felony assault with a weapon, felony threats/improper influence in official and political matters, and felony tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Zachariasen is currently being charged with felony threats/improper influence in official and political matters. This case was filed directly to Missoula District Court and Zachariasen's bond was set at $75,000.
