Vandals Smash Local Church Bus Windows, Authorities Looking for Suspects
Vandals damaged a Missoula church bus on Tuesday and authorities are still looking for suspects.
"On the evening of the 9th, or the early morning hours of the 10th, the River of Life Church, which is located in East Missoula, reported that a van window had been smashed out," said Missoula County Sheriffs Office Public Information Officer Paige Pavalone. "The van was parked in the parking lot and at the time the vehicle was disabled because the tire had been flat, but the intended use of the van was to bring homeless folks to and from their church services."
Another bus owned by Missoula Bible Church was also vandalized this month. Pavalone describes the extent of the damage in the most recent case.
"It sounds like somebody had just went past it, broke the window out with a blunt object, and just left the scene," said Pavalone. "There was nothing taken from the inside. There was some valuable items as far as stereos and speakers, and what not, but nothing was taken from inside so it just seems like criminal mischief vandalism."
