FWP Seeks Information on Recent Vandalism at Frenchtown Pond State Park
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking for information on a recent vandalism at Frenchtown Pond State Park in western Montana. Information and Education Program Manager Vivaca Crowser explains.
“During the early morning hours on Monday, October 7, a person or several people broke in and destroyed a door and window,” Crowser said. “The park entrance station and maintenance shed were broken into. Vandals also drove off-road through portions of the park, causing damage to the lawn.”
Crowser says crimes like this one are often solved because of leads provided by the public.
“Vandals also stole items from both the entrance building and the maintenance shed,” Crowser said. “We are really hoping that we can get some leads from the public. Often times, that is one of our most successful starts to cases. That will help us figure out who did the damage and who stole the items so we can move on, get these things fixed and catch the person responsible.”
FWP encourages anyone with information to contact FWP at 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
