Three signs promoting Democratic candidates on Upper Miller Creek Road in Missoula have been vandalized with black spray paint spelling out the letters ‘BLM’.

The signs promote Steve Bullock for Senate, Mike Cooney for Governor and Raph Graybill for Attorney General.

KGVO notified a local Democratic official to let them know about the vandalism, which was first spotted early Friday morning.

It is not known who vandalized the signs, but the letters ‘BLM’ commonly signify the group ‘Black Lives Matter’.

In addition, flags and signs have been stolen or vandalized from the property of Susan Campbell Reneau, a Republican running for the Montana Senate in District 45.

According to Montana Code Annotated 16-1019, the defacing of a campaign sin is a Class Two misdemeanor.
