Beavertail Hill State Park will host a  Program on Frontier Women July 8th.

      Beavertail Hill State Park will host an evening program on American frontier women on Friday, July 8 beginning at 8 p.m. at the state park’s amphitheater.

        Join Montana Fish, Wildlife & Park’s Palma Tiberi to hear about the impact of the frontier on early settlers and what it meant to have an identity as an American frontier woman.  Tiberi will talk about the experiences of several Montana frontier women and their connection with the landscape.
        The program is part of a series of “Women in Montana History” programs offered at the state park on all Friday evenings at 8 p.m. through Aug. 26.  The programs are free and open to the public. To attend these programs, travel 26 miles east of Missoula on I-90 and take the Beavertail Hill Exit.  Follow signs to the state park.

 Salmon Lake State Park will host a Program on Hiking with Your Dog on July 9th.

        Come spend an evening with Chris Williams and his dog, Shook, as they give you an in-depth look at how to hike with your dog on Saturday, July 9 at 8 p.m. at Salmon Lake State Park.

        Chris will demonstrate the proper equipment, techniques and ways to keep your special friend safe, comfortable and out of trouble.
        The program is free and open to the public. To attend, head to Salmon Lake’s campground amphitheater, approximately five miles south of Seeley Lake just off Highway 83.
