The battle over the state budget is continuing between republicans and democrats, between members of the house and senate. House members call the senate budget dead on arrival. Saying there must be program cuts from Governor Brian Schweitzer’s budget proposal. Representative Walter McNutt says there is room for negotiation.

 Meanwhile, democrats say they expect to have more say in conference committee. House minority leader Jon Sesso says democrats are really on even footing with republicans even though republicans enjoy a 68 to 32 advantage in the House.
