Tonight Missoula County Public School Board of Trustees will hold a meeting to fill a recently vacated Trustee position.

"In the past, what the school district has done is posted the Trustee resignation and vacancy, and then initiated a deadline to submit an application of interest," Executive Director of Business Operations Pat McHugh said. "At a special board meeting the remaining Trustees would interview the applicants. Following the interview, which would be in an open public setting, the Trustees would deliberate and make a decision."

There are 11 Trustees, all who cover distinct areas. The new member would have to take over the designated area of previous Trustee member Lisa Triepke.

"The person that fills this Trustee seat represents the high school district and resides in the elementary districts of either Bonner or Target Range," McHugh said.

The appointed Trustee must hold the position until the next school election in May.
