Dave Strohmaier

This Saturday, Missoula City Councilman Dave Strohmaier will announce his candidacy for the U. S. House of Representatives seat currently held by Republican Denny Rehberg. I spoke with Mr. Strohmaier about his decision to run for Congress on Thursday afternoon. That interview is attached.

The 2011 Legislative Session has hit the midway point. Many are questioning exactly what lawmakers will accomplish. House bill 516 is controversial and seems to be a dichotomy philosophically when it comes to self governance.

City Council Member Dave Strohmaier  proposed a  Social Host Ordinance, in December,  dealing  with curbing underage drinking and driving under the influence. Strohmaier says the ordinance was revised due to concerns from some council member about the word knowledge.
