Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 10, 2025, a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was patrolling in the area of Reserve St. and South Ave. when he observed a blue Dodge Grand Caravan with expired tabs. The deputy verified the expiration on his computer and then conducted a traffic stop. Before the deputy could say anything, the female driver, later identified as 39-year-old Stacey Truhan, stated she did not have a license.  

The deputy asked her for an identification card and proof of insurance. Stacey provided an identification card, stating she did not have insurance and that she was on probation. While speaking with Stacey, the deputy noticed pill bottles within her purse. The deputy further noticed a lighter on the passengers seat and a torch in the center cup holder.  

The deputy asked what Stacey was on probation for and Stacey stated criminal mischief and possession of dangerous drugs. Stacey denied having anything in the vehicle and denied use of illegal drugs. The deputy asked Stacey if she would consent to a search of the vehicle and she consented.

During the search, The deputy found a green pill bottle with Stacey’s name on it. The deputy located a mixture of pills in the bottle. When asked why she had a mixture, Stacey stated, “Because I just do. My Vyvanse doesn’t work.” When asked what she was prescribed, Stacey stated she was prescribed Vyvanse. When asked what else was in the bottle, Stacey stated Adderall. 

Stacey was arrested and her vehicle was seized. Then the deputy applied for a search warrant. The warrant was approved and later executed. The deputy located additional pills within Stacey’s pill bottle, which included:  

  • 7 Orange and blue Vyvanse capsules  
  • 9 Orange labeled Adderall 20 capsules  
  • 2 Orange colored 20 Adderall pills  
  • 1 Orange colored 30 Adderall pills  
  • 2 white amphetamine pills

The deputy located a second pill bottle in the passenger seat bag, which contained 9 white pills. The pills were oval shaped with M2A4 58344 written on them. The deputy utilized a pill identifier and found these pills to be acetaminophen, but through further testing through the ACE ID, the pills tested positive for Para-Fluorfentanyl. The deputy noted both bottles had Stacey’s name, however both prescriptions were for Vyvanse. 

Stacey is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, driving without a valid driver’s license, and operating without liability insurance, third offense. Her bond was set at $10,000.
