Yes, more people in Western Montana are being stung by bees this fall. I spoke with Dave Mangold, Physicians Assistant with the Allergy and Asthma Center in Missoula on Tuesday afternoon. He explains the five different bee venoms that occur in the Missoula area. That interview is attached.

venom. He says if you are stung by a bee, remove the stinger if you can, apply ice to prevent swelling, and if a systemic reaction occurs, seek medical help immediately.
