BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — The stepmother of three children taken by their father to the Bahamas against custody orders was sent back to jail after she removed a GPS monitor she was ordered to wear.

Angela Bryant had been released pending her sentencing this month. A condition of her release was that she wear the monitor.

Authorities say they could not locate the 45-year-old Bryant for several hours Tuesday. She called officials later that day, saying she had been visiting the jail.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that her release was revoked Thursday and she was booked on $10,000 bail.

James Bryant has been sentenced to four years in prison on one count of parenting interference.

He kept the three children on a sailboat in the Bahamas for more than seven months.
