Some of the Nation’s leading sportsmen’s groups are greatly concerned about the proposed budget resolution that would drastically cut or eliminate several conservation programs. The programs are critical to hunting, fishing and wildlife habitat throughout the country. Proposed cuts and legislative riders would affect conservation programs like the North American Wetlands Conservation Fund, Farm Bill Conservation Programs, the Clean Water Act and more.  Bill Gear from the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership is concerned about the possible loss of funding to the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Members of Congress are returning to Capitol Hill this week to negotiate the final funding resolution, possilby  by April 8th .
