Sheriff's Vehicle Slides Off U.S. 93, Flips on Side

A Missoula County Sheriff's truck was on its side in an irrigation ditch near Tran-solution way on U.S. Highway 93 South this morning, Monday, November 24.

According to deputies, no one was injured in the crash, but traffic was reduced to a single lane and backed up more than a mile past the Peak Wellness Center toward Lolo.

At around 7:20 a wire was connected to the truck (likely a winch) in order to flip the truck right-side-up.

The cause of the crash was almost certainly the extremely icy roads.
