Representatives from the International Code Council and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality are presenting fundamental information about the residential energy code, in Helena.  The seminar will provide an overview of critical concepts for the residential requirements of the  2009 international energy conservation code. These concepts provide a basis for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection, and analysis of projects. Paul Tschida from the energy and pollution prevention bureau explains what's covered in these sessions.

 

All plans for new construction, and certain alterations and renovations in the state must comply with the new code. The international energy conservation code was adopted with several amendments specific to Montana. The free and open to public energy code training sessions are scheduled tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. At the Great Northern Hotel  in Helena and site inspection on may 5 at the DEQ building at 1100 North  Last Chance Gulch from 8:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m.
