A recount on a Montana election that was separated by less than 13 votes has been completed in Yellowstone County, but the results aren't exactly what the person paying for the recount might want.

Susan Patton was the secretary for election staff that counted the votes, and has the final tally of the race between Democrat Margie MacDonald and Republican Tony O’Donnnell in House District 51.

"Tony O'Donnell, who filed for the recount, his total votes were 1,311, that's the same total we counted on Election Day," Patton said. "On Margie MacDonald, she gained one vote."

A recount in Missoula County has yet to report, both recounts will not be official until the board of state canvassers certifies the results on December ninth.
