Ravalli County Juvenile Detention Center Closed

I spoke Friday evening with Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman about the closure of the Ravalli County Juvenile Detention Center. Hoffman says the closure is just a part of the cuts being made by the County Commissioners. That interview is attached.

Hoffman sent a letter to the Commissioners stating that they 'missed a golden opportunity' to involve other county leaders when determining which programs and positions to cut. Commissioner Matt Kanenwisher disagreed, writing that the entire process was open from the beginning.
