Ravalli Commissioners: ‘We’ll Take The Money..For Now’

Ravalli County Commissoners voted 3 to 2 Thursday afternoon to accept $39,000 in federal funding for a Family Health Clinic in Hamilton. I spoke with Commissioner Ron Stoltz immedately following the public meeting. That interview is attached.

Stoltz says the County will only accept the federal grant for one year, and thereafter will find local funding for the clinic, so as to have more local control of the services offered. Stoltz says he was one of the two Commissioners to vote against the proposal to keep the money.
