Preventing Residential Burglary

There has been an increase in the reported number of residential burglaries in the Rattlesnake area in the last several weeks. The Missoula Police Department is investigating these crimes; currently no suspect has been apprehended. Detective Sgt. Bob Bouchee provides some recommended safety and security tips for burglary prevention.

Bouchee also suggests using good lighting, as effective lighting forces the intruder to work in an area where they will be exposed and reported to the police.
