A traffic stop by Missoula Police early Friday morning ended up with an arrest of a suspect wanted on other charges. Missoula Police spokesman Travis Welsh describes the arrest.

“Just before midnight an officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of North Avenue and Reserve Street,” said Welsh. “The officer identified the occupants and identified one as an adult male named Martin Reinbolt, 41 years of age who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.”

Welsh said Reinbolt had other items of interest to the police when he was searched at the Missoula County Jail.

“He was taken into custody, however at the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of an unused syringe and what appears to be methamphetamine,” he said. “He is currently being held on a charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and the original warrant that he was arrest for.”

He was held on $50,000 bond.

Reinbolt, a Missoula resident, appeared before Missoula Justice Court on Friday afternoon.
