Missoula Woman Arrested for a Felony Warrant, Has Drugs Again
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On the late morning or early afternoon of May 19, 2023, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to the downtown area in regard to a felony warrant arrest on 54-year-old Lisa Marie Thomas. The Officers located Thomas in the 200 block of West Broadway and she was placed under arrest.
Thomas’s Probation Officer was on-scene. The probation officer searched Thomas's backpack and discovered a white crystal substance in a small baggy enclosed in a small zip-up bag. The probation officer recognized the substance and believed it was methamphetamine.
An MPD officer transported Thomas to the Missoula County Detention Center. As Thomas was being booked in the jail, she told the Detention Officer she does meth to help with her stress. The solid crystal substance that was found in Thomas’s backpack was tested and tested positive for methamphetamine by a NIK Test. According to court documents, the rock weighed .4 grams.
Thomas is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. According to the Missoula Jail Roster, Thomas is also being held for felony probation violation and two counts of failure to appear. Her bond was set at $10,000.
On March 6, 2023, officers arrested Thomas because she had multiple warrants issued for previous criminal charges. The officer involved in that arrest was familiar with Thomas from several previous professional encounters and also knew Thomas frequently had warrants for her arrest. During that arrest, Thomas was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. As a result, she was charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
