Peter Christian met with Joyce Dombrouski R.N. to tour the new Family Maternity Center (FMC) at Providence St. Patrick Hospital here in Missoula. The FMC is located on the third floor of the Broadway Building at 500 West Broadway. The FMC is the culmination of months of planning and preparation as part of the expanded Women’s and Children’s Program at St. Patrick Hospital. The unit has seven Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum rooms, a two-bed nursery and isolation room. An LDRP room provides all the care the mother and infant need in a single room, unless a cesarean section is needed. St. Pat’s will be the only hospital in Missoula to offer this amenity.

Joyce Dombrouski has been with Providence St. Patrick since April of 1995. She joined the team early in her career and had responsibilities for critical care, emergency services, and quality. She joined the executive team in 1999 as the vice president of Marketing and Communications. In 2001, Joyce accepted the leadership position of Vice President of Nursing for St Patrick’s and gained the regional role of CNO in 2006.  Currently, Joyce serves as the Chief Acute Services Officer for St Patrick Hospital and has done so since October 2011. In this role, Joyce oversees all operations for St. Patrick Hospital, including creating and then leading the work of the physician dyad structure for clinical services.
