BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Montana State Billings men's basketball coach Jamie Stevens has announced the signing of guard Omar McDade of Logan, Utah.

McDade played two years at Sheridan College in Wyoming and played at Fort Hays State University last season, where he averaged 7.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

McDade averaged 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals as a sophomore at Sheridan College. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Stevens says McDade is a versatile player and adds experience to the Yellowjackets roster for the 2012-13 season.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Carroll College football coach Mike Van Diest has announced the signing of two more players, including University of Idaho defensive back Chance Smith.

Smith is from Idaho Falls, Idaho and transfers to Carroll with three years of eligibility remaining. He was a captain as a senior at Idaho Falls High School and led the team in interceptions and pass breakups.

Van Diest also has signed Adam West of Mt. Vernon, Wash. As a senior, West had a league-leading 63 catches for 1,080 yards.

He was selected to play in the Washington state all-star game this summer.
